An IBC with a rigid plastic inner container (bottle) supported by an outer steel cage. Most common type.

Popular Questions
Quick answers to common IBC questions
What is the difference between 275 and 330 gallon IBCs?
The main difference is height and capacity. Both have the same base footprint (48" ร 40"). The 275-gallon IBC is about 46" tall and holds 1,040 liters. The 330-gallon IBC is about 53" tall and holds 1,250 liters - about 20% more capacity.
How many IBCs fit on a truck?
A standard 53-foot trailer can hold 20-24 empty IBCs (single layer) or 80-96 empty IBCs (stacked 4 high). For full IBCs, weight limits typically restrict you to about 20 units per trailer load.
Can IBCs be used for food storage?
Yes, but only if they are certified food-grade. This requires the IBC to have only held food-grade products previously, be properly cleaned and sanitized, and have documentation of its product history. We offer food-grade certified IBCs.
How long does an IBC last?
With proper use and care, a composite IBC typically lasts 5-10 years. The plastic bottle has a practical UV-exposure lifespan of about 5 years for outdoor use. Stainless steel IBCs can last 20+ years.
What liquids can be stored in standard IBCs?
Standard HDPE IBCs are compatible with most water-based solutions, many chemicals, oils, and other liquids. However, some aggressive chemicals may require specialized materials. Always check chemical compatibility before use.
